As you probably already know (read: If you read Katz's BCS National Title Journal), I've spent half the week visiting him and some of the other contributors, which resulted in a lot of fantasy baseball talk (including our first off-season trade), drunken admissions to lustful desires regarding two of the female American Gladiators, and the introduction/development of a really interesting idea: a 3-on-3 tournament of current NBA players, where each team is comprised of a school's alumni.
So, we have decided to expand on this 3 on 3 Tournament. Here are the rules:
- Games will be simulated in the Street Ball section of NBA 2k7
- Teams will be comprised of current NBA players and will be playing for the college they attended
- Rookies will be created with appropriate attributes
- All games will be watched in full by a panel of experts
- A 32-team field is ranked, then divided into 4 regions (the Eddie Griffin region, the Len Bias region, the Bobby Phills region, and the Bison Dele region)
- 3 players per team
- Games are to 11, by 1's + 2's
- The game will be half court only (must take it back on change of possession)
- The first possession is determined by a Do-or-Die 3-point shot
- Winner's Ball
- No referees - no bullet wound, no foul
